5 Terrific Things about Gena Showalter’s “The Darkest Torment”

(May Contain Spoilers)

1. Love Story

Confession, I love romance novels. Yes, they are not known for being “fine literature.” And yes, they are predictable. But I love reading them just for fun knowing that they will have a happy ending. As Gena Showalter points out in one of her other novels, “romance novels are adult fairytales” and there is nothing wrong with that. So yes, this book gets points for simply being a happy-ending love story!

2. Lords of the Underworld

I have enjoyed this series thus far and therefore relish reading more about this world and these characters.

3. Sexy

As always, Gena Showalter includes hot, steamy romance scenes.

4. Puppies

This story involves doggies! I love doggies!

5. Unconditional Love

No, I am not talking about Baden and Katarina. This is for Katarina and her puppies. I appreciate that Katarina adores and loves her dogs unconditionally and that she will do anything to keep them safe and taken care of. Good furbaby momma!
