3 Dandy Things about Gena Showalter’s “Into the Dark”

(May Contain Spoilers)

1. 3-in-1

3 stories in 1 novel, bonus!

2. Except…

Reading “Into the Dark” reminded me why I’m not truly fond of short stories. Generally I only get invested in a story because of the characters so without character development I feel less interested and therefore, short stories are not my cup of tea. Reading novellas or short stories involving characters I’m already familiar with from other novels/series makes them more enjoyable for me.

3. Interviews

There is a section at the end of the book called “At home with the Lords of the Underworld” where William interviews each Lord and it is HILARIOUS! Seriously, this was my favorite part of the book, Gena has such a great sense of humor and I love that this is reflected in her characters, especially William.
